making an image of a stanalone computer w gss 2.5.1

Our company bought gss 2.5.1 for our stand alone dell computers, that are not connected to the internet or each other.  I am looking for the basic steps on how to make a bootable  image dvd, and how to recover using the dvd.  I am used to using norton v14-15, but looking over the 700+ page manual I can not find anything basic, like open the console, create image, which is about as far as I have gotten just by clicking on parts of the user interface.  I almost feel gss 2.5.1 is not made for stand alone sytems but for networked machines, but I should still be able to make a bootable image of a standalone machine shouldn't I
