I've ghosted several machines using a very generic image. I just deployed the image using a GhostCast session.
Even with a machine that has been sysprepped/generalized, the systems all try to register as the same computer in the console. If I delete it, it will register the system using the same name but I can tell it switched because the IP is different.
After a Remote Agent Installer task, the clients all get the agent. Let's say "computer001" registers with the console. If I delete it, and computer002 registers with the console, it shows up as "computer001" but with a different IP rather than a new computer.
It's as if the console doesn't recognize them as unique machines based on different ethernet addresses or something. This was never an issue in GSS2.5.
Any advice?
