Here is my situation. At work we have Ghost Solution Suite 3.1 set up. Customers send us images and we use this setup to install a basic backed up Ghost image to multiple units. We dont edit the images in any way, we just use Ghostcast to install to multiple systems.
I have done away with using boot USBs by using the PXE server that comes with the suite. My problem is whenever I create boot files within PXE configuration utility I am given "Automation" as the only option for boot. This method always seems to include a Dagent software during the Ghostcast session. Since we dont own these machines I dont want this to happen, I dont want anything else saved onto these systems.
My work around so far is to create a Network boot USB and then copy and paste the boot.wim image into the PXE boot folder previously created. This works for what I want however it just seems like a lot of steps to get it done.
My question is if there is any way to disable the inclusion of dagent so that I can just use the PXE boot file creation method? From what I have read the dagent is if we were deploying systems within our own company and being able to connect to them afterwards. I dont really need this since we dont own these.
Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.
